Russian cbank sends bankruptcy cases vs Tatfondbank, Intechbank

KAZAN, Mar 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank has submitted bankruptcy cases against Tatarstan republic’s Tatfondbank and Intechbank to the Arbitration Court of the republic of Tatarstan, the court said in a statement on Monday.

The case against Intechbank was sent on March 15 and proceedings started on March 17. A hearing of the case was scheduled for April 12.

The case against Tatfondbank was sent on March 16, proceedings have not started yet.

The Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) was listed as the third party in both cases.

On March 3, the central bank revoked the licenses of Tatfondbank and Intechbank, ranked 42nd and 138th largest by assets as of February 1, respectively. The capital gap of Tatfondbank was estimated at 96.7 billion rubles, of Intechbank at 14 billion rubles as of February 1.

The Sovetsky District Court of Kazan ordered First Deputy CEO of Tatfondbank Ramil Nasyrov be put under house arrest until April 16 under an embezzlement case on March 17. CEO Robert Musin was also put under house arrest until April 16 under the case on March 3.

Nasyrov, as well as two businessmen Ramil Safin and Yelena Leushina were detained as suspects under the case on March 15.

Under a preliminary version of investigators, employees of Tatfondbank presented false information to the central bank in August 2016 in order to receive a loan. Later, 3 billion rubles received under the loan were transferred to accounts of Tatfondbank’s affiliates.
